I first noticed the beginnings of this outbreak in 2017. There were two specimens growing between the bricks lining a sidewalk-pit and the concrete. I used this shot of the flower of the larger as the top shot on the first reworking of the Spider Flower page in The Weedalogue. I went back many times in 2018 and photographed them as they started to take over the neighborhood. The shots below are from those shoots, in no particular order.
